In France, its legalization in 2020 has unleashed enormous potential: new leagues are emerging, venues are multiplying and the public is out in force. MMA is no longer a niche sport: it's a dynamic, committed and connected scene.
🥊 Inspiring journeys made in France
Benoît Saint Denis, nicknamed “God of War”, embodies the new generation of French fighters. A former member of the French Special Forces, his steely mentality and total commitment led him to the UFC in 2021.
Morgan Charrière, 29, a.k.a. “The Last Pirate”, is now on the UFC roster and a pro contender with a record of 21 wins to 11 losses and 1 draw. He has 13 wins by KO/TKO and 3 by submission At UFC Paris in September 2024, he won a lightning KO over Gabriel Miranda in the 2ᵉ round (0:27), a performance awarded as “Performance of the Night”.
Baki Chamsoudinov, one of the most promising prospects in French MMA, trained in wrestling, is renowned for his power, maturity and dominance in the -77 kg category. Undefeated as a professional at just 23 years of age, he is seen as one of the sport's future greats.
