Genezys the multisport game

Genezys is the first multi-sport trading card game combining fan experience, digital collection and online competition. Players can collect Fancards featuring athletes and official clubs, participate in exclusive challenges, compete against other players in the Genezys game, and take advantage of a dynamic market (purchase, resale, boosters and store). The platform is based on several complementary experiences:

  •  Les Fancards : official digital cards representing athletes or clubs.

  • ⚔️ The Genezys Game : a system of deck-building and multi-sport arenas.

  • 🏆 The Challenges : exclusive experiences and rewards for cardholders.

  • 💸 The Market : a purchase/resale ecosystem between users (primary and secondary market).

  • 🛍️ The Store : to acquire consumables and equipment.

  • 📸 The exclusive contents : privileged access to videos, behind the scenes, and interactions with athletes.

Collection

Each athlete or club issues a collection — most often annual — composed of 5 Fancards of different rarities:
Common, Limited, Rare, Epic, Legendary.

These collections:

  • allow Play the cards of the athlete concerned;
  • give access to its exclusive challenges and VIP content;
  • have a Maximum booster volume, of a launch and closing date.

Some special collections can be launched around a special event (e.g. competition, record, title, “Athlete of the month”, etc.).

The collections have been available since:

  • the Market page, then the athletes' gallery
  • the transfer market if users put them up for sale

Transfer market

The Transfer Market is where users can buy or sell their previously obtained Fancards.

  • Each user freely sets their price, with a minimum of 50 GNZ points.
  • Transactions are carried out only in GNZ points, Genezys's internal currency.
  • All Fancards that are on sale show their base score, health status, and edition number.

Fancard

The Fancard is Genezys's iconic product. It is an official NFT, a digital collector card representing an athlete or a club.

Each Fancard:

  • is numbered;
  • has a rarity (Common → Legendary);
  • contains 4 defining attributes in the game;
  • gives access to the athlete/club's exclusive challenges and content;
  • can be played in the Genezys game.

Fancards are available:

  • on the primary market (official Genezys sales),
  • via boosters (packs of 4 to 6 random cards).
  • on the transfer market (sales between users)

Rarity

The 5 levels of rarity are:

  1. Common (free)
  2. Limited
  3. Rare
  4. Epic
  5. Legendary

Common

  • Offered upon registration or through missions.
  • Does not allow you to participate in challenges.
  • Can only be used in the game/match part.

Other rarities

  • Can be purchased via the primary market or transfer.

Give more weight in challenges and better game performance.

Play Genezys

Genezys is the game for sports fans.
You collect fancards featuring athletes from all disciplines: rugby, skiing, tennis, MMA, etc.
But here, the maps don't sleep in a filing cabinet — they're competing in strategic matches, in Arenas that change every week.

Each player composes a deck of 5 fancards and faces other players online.
Your objective: climb the rankings, accumulate Genezys points, and win the rarest rewards.

A game season lasts for one week, from Monday to Monday, at which point the rankings are fixed and the rewards distributed. On Monday at 00:01am, a new Arena is announced... and a new battle begins.

The Arenas

Each week, a Thematic Arena highlights a type of attribute (e.g.: Power & Endurance) and a category (Talent, Champion or Star).

👉 These two elements directly influence your score:

  • If your athlete corresponds to the Arena category, you gain a score buff (+10 to +40%).

  • If your fancard has attributes similar to those of the Arena, it benefits from buffs (+5% per attribute point).

Examples:

  • Arena Star — Power & Endurance → Fancards with powerful and/or endurance attributes will have a big advantage as well as athletes with Star categories.

The Arena thus renews the game's meta every week. No deck is invincible: the key is adaptation.

My Deck

Your deck is your team.
It consists of 5 fancards from your collection, each representing an athlete.

⚙️ Composition rules:

  • The same fancards cannot be used twice.
  • You can change your deck between matches.
  • Each card loses between 2 and 7% health after each match.
  • Cards that are too tired see their performance drop (up to -90% score if health is critical).

The Equipments

Equipment are special items that change the attributes of your fancards.
They can offer bonuses (buffs) or penalties (debuffs) depending on their nature.

Examples:

  • 🧤 Elite gloves → +20% Power, -10% Vision
  • Aerodynamic combination → +15% Agility, -5% Balance

Each fancard can only be equipped with one piece of equipment at a time.
Once applied, the equipment adjusts the attribute points in question according to a multiplier factor based on the power of the card.

Calculation example

Let's have a fancard with:

  • Power: 8
  • Vision: 3
  • Factor: x10

If you equip it with an object (+20% Power, -10% Vision):

  • Power: 8 × 10 × 0.2 = +16 points
  • Vision: 3 × 10 × (-0.1) = -3 points

These new points are then added to the fancard's Arena score.
Well used, a piece of equipment can therefore reverse the outcome of a match by boosting the right attributes at the right time.

💡 Game Designer Tip
Some equipment can be combined strategically with the Arena of the Week.
For example, a Power buff will be powerful if the Arena highlights Power & Endurance.

The Consumables

Consumables are temporary bonuses that are applied to a fancard before a match.
They represent energy or attribute boosts.
You can use one or more consumables on the same card, and their effects are cumulative (up to a maximum of 100%).

Example:
Two consumables that each offer +10% Power will give a total of +20% Power.
Above 100%, the additional effects no longer have an impact.
The penalties, on the other hand, can be accumulated up to -100%.

Calculation example

Let's imagine two consumables:

  • Consumable 1: +10% Health, +20% Power, -10% Vision
  • Consumable 2: +15% Health, +10% Endurance, -10% Vision

Once applied, the fancard benefits from:

  • +25% Health
  • +20% Power 💥
  • +10% Stamina 🏃
  • -20% Vision 👁️

These bonuses are then calculated in the same way as the equipment:
The changed attributes directly impact the final Arena score.

⚠️ If a fancard does not have a relevant attribute (e.g. no Stamina), the corresponding bonus is not applied.

The Matches

You have 5 matches per day to climb the rankings.
Each match is a duel of decks (5 vs 5), in best of 5 rounds.

Score calculation:

Before each round, the overall score of each card is calculated from:

  • his base score (BS)
  • Arena buffs (category and attributes)
  • the equipment and consumables applied
  • The health and performance of the athlete

All these bonus/penalties add up to get the Arena Score:

ARENA SCORE = BS + Buffs (category + attributes + attributes + health + performance + equipment + consumables)

Determination of the winner:

The game uses a dynamic probability formula via a logistic curve:

  • If two scores are equal → 50/50
  • If a player has a score greater than 500 points → 99.9% chance of winning
  • A weighted random draw then decides the outcome of the round.

The player who wins 3 out of 5 rounds wins the match.

Gains

Each victory earns 15 Genezys points.

The points accumulated over the week determine your position on the leaderboard.

The Leaderboard

The weekly ranking rewards the most consistent and strategic players.

  • Standings frozen every Sunday at 23:59
  • Reset to 0 points every Monday at 00:00.
  • Rewards distributed according to your final rank

Rewards:
  • Top 10: GNZ points

coming soon...:

  • Top 80%: rewards in points
  • Top 1:6250 convertible GNZ points

A global leaderboard ranks all players, but thematic leagues (deck by rarity, Friends...) will be coming soon.

FAQs

We answer all your questions!

What is Genezys?

Genezys is a trading card game that connects sports fans with their favorite athletes through Fancards. By collecting them, you’ll be able to: play the first multisport trading card game, win unique experiences and items, and access exclusive content.

What is a Fancard?

A Fancard is a digital card representing an athlete.
Each Fancard features 4 unique attributes (such as agility, stamina, power, etc.) and a rarity level.

Beyond the game, a Fancard gives you access to the athlete’s Fan Club, allows you to support them, take part in their Challenges (featuring exclusive experiences and rewards), and watch their exclusive content.

Why play the Genezys game?

If you’re a sports lover, this is the game for you!
But that’s not all — beyond its unique and strategic gameplay, Genezys Fantasy rewards the best players. Every month, prizes are awarded to the top-ranked players.

How do I participate in a challenge?

A Challenge is created by an athlete, a club, or by the Genezys platform. Each Challenge is always linked to a specific FanCard collection.

To participate in a Challenge, you must meet the entry requirements. There are three possible types of conditions:

• Rarity: You must own a card from the collection with the required rarity level.
• Acquisition Date: You must have acquired the FanCard(s) before, after, or between specific dates.
• First-Time Buyer: You must be among the first X users to purchase a card from the collection.

A Challenge can have any combination of these conditions—or none at all. All conditions are detailed on the back of the Challenge card.

To view the back of the card and see participation details, simply click on the Challenge.

Each Challenge has a limited duration. You must click “Participate” before the deadline (indicated on the Challenge card), otherwise you’ll miss the opportunity and have to wait for the next one.

How do I get rarer cards?

To increase your chances of getting a rare Fancard, buy one or more Boost Packs. Purchasing a Boost Pack gives you a +50% rarity bonus. Otherwise, if you're looking for a specific Fancard, why not check the Market? If it's available, you can buy it directly.

What is GNZ?

The GNZ is the in-game currency of Genezys. It allows players to earn rewards based on their ranking and activity. GNZ is also used as a bargaining chip in the transfer market and the Genezys store. GNZ will soon be exchangeable for € (COMING SOON).

What sports are available?

Genezys Fantasy is multisport, meaning you can collect and play with athletes from different disciplines. The game is constantly evolving with new categories and new athletes!

How does my deck earn me points?

Each week, you select 5 athlete Fancards. Their score is calculated based on:

  • Their sporting attributes (shown on the Fancards)
  • The rarity and combinations of the cards you use
  • Their popularity and activity outside of Genezys
  • Their engagement on Genezys (challenges, new collections, exclusive content)

Your objective? Find the best combination to score as many points as possible before the end of the week!

How do the matches work?

Every day, you can compete against other players in strategic duels. Your match score is based on the strength of your deck (card characteristics and rarity). A win probability is calculated based on your score versus your opponent’s, and a draw then determines the winner. Win matches to earn more points and climb the rankings!

How can I see exclusive content?

To access the exclusive content of an athlete or club, simply visit their profile and purchase at least one of their Fancards from any of their collections. You'll then gain access to all past and future content from that athlete or club.
