How can I take part in a challenge ?

A challenge is create by an athlete, club or by the Genezys platform. A challenge is always linked to a Fancard Collection. To take part in a challenge, you must meet its entry conditions. There are three possible types of conditions associated with a challenge. These are:

Rarity: You must hold a card from the collection with the rarities listed

Acquisition date: You must have acquired the Fancard(s) before, after or between the dates specified

First-buyer conditions: You must be one of the first X owners of the collection to take part.

Challenges may have none or all of these conditions. The conditions can be found on the back of the challenge cards. To flip the card in the platform, just click on the challenge to get the entry details.

Please note that each challenge has a lifetime. You must therefore click on "Participate" before the end of the allotted time (indicated on the challenge card), otherwise you won't be able to take part and will have to wait for the next one.

What are challenges?

Challenges are one-off events organised by clubs, athletes or Genezys. By participating in a challenge you have the chance to win rewards and prizes. Most of the challenges will require you to have at least one Fancard of the athlete or club creating the challenge. Others allow everyone to participate. Winners are decided by drawing lots.

What can I win when participating in a challenge?

Challenge prizes and rewards are divided into four different categories:

"Physical": Correspond to challenges that enable you to obtain physical objects that will be sent directly to your home by the club or athlete. Many of the objects are unique and rare belonging to the athlete.

"Experience": These are prizes that entitle you to take part in physical experiences. This includes tickets to a match or an unique moment with the athlete or club.

"Live": This gives you an exclusive live session with the athlete or club. This may include a training session, a live chat to pose questions, a lunch - a unique and privileged moment of exchange with your favourite athlete.

"Other": These are prizes that don't fit into the above categories. These can be for example digital collectibles or promotional codes.

If I hold several Fancards do I have a better chance of winning a challenge?

Yes, every Fancard you own that meets the entry requirements for a challenge counts as an entry. Example: You own 3 "Rare" Fancards from a collection. If you enter a challenge in which "Rare" Fancards can participate, then you'll have three entries, i.e. three times as many chances of winning!

I've already taken part in the challenge, but I've acquired other Fancards - will they count as entries?

Yes, every Fancard meeting the challenge criteria and acquired before the end of the challenge counts as a participation. We count entries once the challenge has ended, not before.

What are the different stages of a challenge?

A challenge goes through three main stages:

Challenge in progress: The challenge is in progress, and users can participate until the end of the counter (even if you've already clicked on participate, and you get new cards before the end, these will be counted).

Challenge closed, distribution in progress: The challenge is over (you can no longer participate). The computer checks entries, selects winners if necessary and automatically distributes prizes.

Challenge over: The challenge is over and all prizes have been distributed to the winners.

How are challenge winners identified?

Challenge winners are identified accordingly:

When all participants win. In this case we send the prizes to all participants (if you entered with three Fancards, you will receive three prizes)

When there is a predefined number of winners (visible on the challenge). In this case, a random algorithm carries out a draw and selects the winners among the participants. Winners will be sent the prize to claim.

How do I know if I've won or lost a challenge?

There are several ways to find out if you've won a challenge once it's finished:

Notifications: Every time you win a challenge, you receive a notification on the platform. You can browse your notifications by clicking on the "Notifications" button.

Benefits: If you've won a challenge, you'll find the prize directly in the tab "Challenges" > "My Collection" > "Benefits" in the main menu.

On the Challenge Card: If you click on the main menu and go to "My Challenges" you will find a list of all the challenges you have participated in. Each challenge card has a sticker determining if you have won or lost.

The challenge is just over but I can't see if I won or lost. Is this normal?

Yes! don't panic. Once the challenge is over, the algorithm checks the entries and draws the winners. This may take some time, which is why you will see a new 5-minute timer on the Challenge Card. Once this time is up the winners are announced. Note, however, the results may arrive earlier - so keep your eyes peeled for the results!.

A challenge seems to have disappeared. Is this possible?

Yes, it's possible. If you haven't participated in a challenge and it's finished, then it's no longer visible to you.
However, if the challenge is "Finished" but you have participated, then you will still be able to find it in the menu "Challenges" > "My Challenges".
